Mobile Technologies and Human Rights

Screen Shot 2015-02-04 at 13.02.14 In 2008, while working at La Voz del Interior, Lizandro Guzman, Juan Simo, and me worked flat out for a few months to produce the multimedia reportage “The trial of Menendez”, which covered the first trial held in Cordoba for crimes against humanity perpetrated during the last military dictatorship in Argentina. This piece was awarded Honourable mention at CEMEX+FNPI in 2008, when FNPI was still led by writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez. The jury of the competition said:

The daily coverage of the trial to former Argentine military Luciano Benjamin Menendez, accused of crimes against humanity, becomes a newspaper report that transcends the contributions of every day, through the integration of valuable documentary content in different formats, which help the user understand the facts and their social, historical and emotional significance for the country. Particular importance is the immediacy with which it was produced content and user participation.
